EQB Dialogue and Review

The Gown and EQB are two things that are meant to serve and represent the students and alumni of the University of the South. In their time as students, just as in their lives once they leave the gates, those who have been awarded a gown are bound to the values of this university. The signing of the honor code, the academic pursuit and achievement associated with the gown, and the motto of EQB are three things that each of us carries with us on and off campus, in and outside of the gates. Thus, the EQB Chair of the Order of the Gown serves to remind us, and hold us accountable, to honoring these commitments.

Pressley Wilson '22, EQB Chair, is leading the EQB Dialogue and Review. The primary goal of the EQB Chair this year is to re-examine the EQB Guide, and revise clauses that are vague, unreasonable, or need more context. The Order of the Gown also hopes to make the EQB guide more accessible to students through condensing the main points into a list, proposing a signing of the EQB guide in a similar way to the honor code signing, or having an online checklist to ensure common EQB violations are well understood and become common knowledge.
