Dear students:
The Organization of the Gown and the University’s Strategic Planning Committee invite you to an important event where you can offer your views on the future direction of the University. This year the University is conducting a strategic planning process to address the following four areas:
Elevating Sewanee’s diversity, equity, and inclusion
Improving student success
Renewing and innovating the college curriculum
Economic development and stewarding the domain
We want to understand how students view these four initiatives so that Sewanee is even more attractive to future cohorts of students.
To join the discussion, please plan to attend a forum on Zoom tonight, November 16 at 7:30 pm. At the forum, we will offer a brief overview of the four areas of the plan and then offer two rounds of discussion in Zoom rooms organized around the four areas, e.g. a room on student success, a room on the curriculum, etc.
The forum is a great opportunity to offer input on this important strategic planning process, and we hope you will attend and contribute. You can learn more about the strategic planning process through our Brightspace course, "Strategic Planning 2026" or our strategic planning website, which has less detailed information.
Sincerely,
Scott Wilson, Vice Provost
Alexis McKnight, OG President
